Breathing, lube, and communication are a MUST. Plenty of all three. Try it in a position that gives you control over the depth of penetration and speed. That might make it easier for you to make sure that things aren't rushed or go to far too fast. Also, I've found that clitoral stimulation during the penetration helps to 'take your mind off it'. Ditto on the lube. Lube him as well as yourself. Don't be afraid to use fingers to get yourself used to it, it's not as gross as it sounds haha. Use more lube than you think you will actually need ;) Spooning position is pretty gentle and also makes it feel more like... Romantic than kinky :)

Make sure your lubed and he's lubed and either you or him play with your clit or use a toy to help relax that muscle. Once he's past that muscle then it's amazing.
