I went in for my first ultrasound thinking I was 6+4 but I happened to be a week behind so I was 5+6. I was able to see the heartbeat 147bpm and the tech told me the heart probably formed a day or two before. We weren't able to hear it but seeing it flickering was reassuring. Everyone's different 😊

The best time to start hearing it I've heard is 6-8 weeks. The heart is forming at week 5 but the heartbeat isn't rhythmic so it won't sound like a regular heartbeat until 6-8 weeks.
