Do you think people giving their opinion on others pregnancy tests is good or bad?

I see all these posts of people posting these faint lines. Some of which I'm sure are EVAP lines(I've gotten false hope myself) that people are shouting positive and congratulations when it's not appropriate. And the people tweaking them..how accurate is that? Truthfully idk. There are plenty we see clearly positive and a second set of eyes to make it our reality, I totally get. I've only been trying for two months. But if I posted a picture and a bunch of people said oh that's positive! I'd be even more crushed than if I just knew in the privacy of my own home that another month passed with no baby. Just wondering if I'm just a jerk or maybe others feel the same way?

I can't stand seeing people post a very obvious negative, but the comments are like "I see something !!!!! Congrats!!!!!"

I think it's stupid.Pregnancy tests aren't open to interpretation. They are either positive, negative, or invalid. If you aren't sure wait a day or two and test again. Nothing anybody says online will change the outcome of the test!

People putting negative hpt up are looking for false hope.. they know it's negative, but they want someone to tell them otherwise. They hope just 1 out of 100 people will say they too see a faint line.

Having a proof that you are going to have a baby is certainly very important for many women. After all, some feel even useless when they are unable to conceive. My biggest issue would be more about the fact people share explicitly personal details on social media with complete strangers. You want some advice : ask for the largest amount of people. You have some personal news to share : you keep it to your circle of friends (hopefully they have one). I think the manual is clear about pregnancy test, so RTFM. As you said, I do not understand why you should ask for a "far away expertise " that may be not that great.

Don't post things if you don't want opinions 🤷🏻‍♀️

Exactly the reason I never searched for a Vvvvvvvfl in any tests. If I didn't see anything, I threw it away and moved on.  Until those two lines were clearly pink, I never assumed anything. Way too many people get their hopes up and either assume they had a chemical pregnancy when their period comes or assume people lied.  (I've actually seen more than one person come back and bitch about being told they were pregnant when they weren't 🙄)

You're the one putting it out there for people to comment their opinion on. We aren't doctors here. We go by what we see. 🤷

I know! I posted a poll. Asking for opinions. Specifically asking if I'm just a jerk or if other people agree....Thanks for your input.

I mean itsnt it up to the poster if they get that false hope. We are not doctors so people should know we could be wrong. But if it looks positive im gonna say its positive until a period comes or a dr confirms its a false positive.

I don't think it's completely the fault of those giving their input. I have no idea what an evap line is, but I read somewhere that they are rare if read within the correct time frame. So if a test is showing two lines, I presume it is positive. I'm hesitant to say it though because I don't want to be wrong. I typically just say "I see something. Test again in a few days." I think the issue could be with tweaking. I feel like when someone uses a bunch of different filters, it makes the indent line show up. I'm pretty sure to "tweak" the photo, you're supposed to just invert the colors. When you add filters, it's almost as if someone is trying to create lines if there aren't any, which I think is problematic and sets them up for heartbreak. I understand the desire to see two lines, but when you're doing things to almost create lines instead of just seeing them, then it's not very accurate.
