Sick after a mosquito bite?

My daughter got bit and they seemed up huge and hot, they went down after a few days but she started getting a bad fever and not eating and the bites are still red. My mom who works at a daycare has noticed similar things with every kid that has gotten bit this year. What is going on? Has anyone else experienced this?? 
(Currently trying to get my daughter to a doctor today so don't tell me to take because I already am)

My best friends sister does that. It could be that she's allergic (almost everyone is but some worse than others) I forgot what the cream is called but the doctor prescribed her some special cream that they have to put on them immeadietly after they notice them. Ask the doctor about any special creams or ointments she might need.

My daughter has severe swelling from mosquito bites. Ridiculous swelling. If they happen to be anywhere on her face, either her nearest eye will nearly swell shut, or she'll have a big goose egg. It was alarming at first, I thought spiders as well, because she would wake up with these marks. I ripped our house apart, washed and vacuumed everything. The pediatrician couldn't figure it out. I finally discovered that it was a delayed reaction to mosquito bites. I wasn't seeing her actually being bit before. Once I saw it, there was absolutely no mark until the next morning. They look like huge hives on her body. Topical Benadryl didn't really help, but her taking the syrup orally helped the swelling. Children's skin is naturally extra sensitive, but I've noticed a change in the bites I get as well. It takes several days for the bites to go away, where in the past they would disappear in a few hours
