Hopefully your story has a happier ending, but I'm on a mission to make sure women on this forum stop using the target brand tests. I got literally 3 false positives from these things on days 32-36 of my cycle. Then a negative with First Response on day 37. Day 42 blood test confirmed a negative. My period was just late. No, it wasn't a chemical. Just faulty tests. Definitely get another brand and retest. Here is what mine looked like.
