break up two years

So my boyfriend and I have been fighting a lot recently... last night it got bad because he fell asleep when I was talking to him about what we were arguing about. It made me so upset so I woke him up and I asked him to please leave... I took a lot to get him to leave because he refused but when he did, he said some really mean things to me so I slapped him across the face and locked my door. Three seconds later he BROKE THROUGH THE DOOR AND BROKE THE DOOR FRAME! My brother came down and saw it all happen and now my family thinks I should break up but I love him and I want to make things work but I feel like I'm the only one trying😭 can someone help me trying to think of the right thing to do and to help me figure out how to move on?! This really sucks, I'm heart broken.
