Is it weird to buy your own promise ring?

My boyfriend really wants to get us engraved promise rings, but unfortunately doesn't have enough money to do so. I would love to get us some, but I'm afraid it might be considered weird. If I were to buy them myself, no one would have to know I was the one who bought them. Although it really shouldn't be a big deal in the first place 🤷🏽‍♀️

I accidentally voted yes, but no that's not weird.. Just because a guy usually buys them, doesn't mean you can't instead. It doesn't take away the meaning or value or intent.. I personally am not really into promise rings, though I think the idea behind them is cute and sweet. Don't let society and dumb gender roles keep you from doing what you want! It'll be just as special, if it's special to you.❤️

Well no one has the right to question why you'll buy them. If anything that's the equivalent to a boy buying pads and tampons for his girl. Just like him, you're buying Promise rings for your boyfriend.

I think it's perfectly acceptable. I believe relationships are 50/50 no matter what. So what's wrong with girlfriend buying the rings? Who cares. It's about you two, what you want and the meaning behind it! I think it's a super sweet gesture for you to do!
