What do you think about kids in leashes?

I read this online today and basically it's pro -leash. I have to admit I used to think this was at best funny and at worst insane. I haven't ever used it for my son bc it's never seemed necessary, thankfully, so I don't have experience with using one but since becoming a mother I feel like if you're happy with the leash and it's keeping your kid safe and you sane then who cares? What does everyone think?

I used to judge the crap out of people until my sister had my very rambunctious nephew who we would have certainly lost many times had we not had the "leash" (really, it was a cute little monkey backpack that had a long tail that we held). I've learned to quit being an asshole. Let parents do whatever works for them. It's none of my business.

Better than someone picking up my son and walking off or him ripping his hand away and getting hurt or lost.

I'd rather see someone with their kid on a leash than them just letting their kid run around being an ass lol

My mom used them. My brothers and I were escape artists, and without the leash backpacks, we would have disappeared without a trace numerous times.

I thought they were ridiculous until my 2 year old started bolting on me and refusing to stop. I've totally considered getting one.

B4 i was a parent i thought it was crazy, now that im a mom and my childs safety is more important than what people think of me, i feel bad for judging any1 that used them.

I haven't and probably wouldn't but I wouldn't judge someone who did some kids can run super fast and don't listen especially at an amusement park or large crowd
