I don't know any reputable tattoo place that uses reusable needles, but the risk is infection afterwards and your body not responding well to the ink. During pregnancy, your immune system is lowered and you have more of a chance of infection, so it's better to wait til afterwards to get a tattoo

I would also read up on the chemical release from the ink before deciding. I heard it could be dangerous.

For us on the UK no tattooist will ink you if your pregnant . I really wanted another one but found out we were expecting so I'm going to wait now till after I've stopped breast feeding

Obvi hep c but I'm sure you're not going to a nasty joint.. However whatever pain you feel, it stresses your little one, which is reason enough for me not to get any till after. Also, the hormones change the pigments in your skin and the ink can come out totally different or even distorted. Safer just to wait it out till after your baby is here :) I actually got tattooed the week I found out I was preg. (before my bfp of course) and I noticed that some of my ink didn't take well so I'll have to retouch for sure

My hubby does all my tats. I don't have to worry about contaminated needles. But sometimes your body will reject the ink. I haven't gotten one while pregnant just because I watched my sil get one and the ink didn't take right and it looked horrible. She had to get it redone post partum

I have multiple tattoos so not against them,but maybe wait till after baby.Always a chance of infection and better to wait if possible.
