fetal Doppler! couldn't find heartbeat. anyone have tips for finding it?

So I heard it today at doc but my husband wanted to hear it at home since he didn't go with me. We tried looking for it and couldn't find it. I'm not gonna try again for like another week but just wanted to see if anyone had any tips and tricks for us 🤗

YouTube it so you can learn to differentiate the placenta from the babies heartbeat and from your own arteries. Trust me there's 1000s of videos that will help you learn

One important thing it so rotate the doppler stick! And press down....I'm 11 weeks I found her HB at 9 weeks a little bit on the left side of my pube line but now I find her in the middle about an inch below my belly button!

I always found my son's heart under my belly button, try learning your heart beat first so You dont get the 2 mixed up. Put some vasaline or dopler gel on your belly and try to move it around can even push the handle in to your tummy a little until you get it. The placenta will be a whooshing sound  (some people can get the placenta and heart beat mixed up)
