We thought Baby ZJ would make his debut last night. But im not surprised labor stopped since I went through this with my first.

Contractions started around 2p. Began tracking at 440-540p. 3-5m apart for 1m. 100% hydrated (best pee in triage once tested. No ketones only traces of blood).

Told to come in around 630p didnt get there till 715ish. Contracts were 2mins apart on monitor. They tracked the baby for 20m and checked. I was 2.5cm. 50%. -3. They sent me to walk for an hour and back for a check. I progressed to 3.5. 70%. -1. They admitted me around 9p and began penicillin since my gbs test was the day before and results wont be back till Fri and I had it with my first. I got the antibiotics at 930 and had to wait 4hrs for recheck.

At one 1a. I had not progressed. (I was at this same point w my first at 40wks. I was threatened a CS because i wasnt progressing. My uterus was tired. They gave me a few more hours, about 2.5h more, and I had progressed to 8cm while sleeping. All I needed was rest.) They didnt want to interfere since he is considered preterm and wanted to see what my body would do.

Im also convinced the oncall midwife was highly inexperienced as she had to constantly ask the nurse to make decisions and was always unsure of herself and nearly slaughtered my poor crotch with her stubby fingers.

At 2a I got the steriod shots to boost his lungs, first dose, and was told by that midwife to come at 10a for second dose.

Everyone thinks I should have stayed but I figured id entertain her theory. She discharged me at false labor and inconsistent contractions. When in fact they were consistent and I was progressing, 100% unmedicated aside from antibiotics.

I met with my original midwife since conception today at 10a for my second dose of steroids. She told me I was never suppose to get second dose that early and had to get it between 12-24hrs from last dose. She didnt understand why the midwife last night told me to come in that early and basically that it would be medical malpractice for them to give me that dose only 8hrs from last. (Hence confirmed her last nights midwifes inexperience).

She also refuted my original diagnosis as well. But still wants me to labor at home and if contractions get unbearable, water breaks or bleeding to come back. Otherwise they'll see me at my next appt.

Mind you, I early labored w my first a WHOLE WEEK. No broken water nothing. Hence why my uterus was weak and labored seemed to stop, even after they induced me twice. (Pitocin and broke my water).

Ive been contracting intensely for 3wks and it was then at 33wks when they found out my cervix was opening and thinning. And I lost my plug only God knows how long ago.

So here we are, same situation. I saw that lady midwife from last night the day before at my 36wk appt and told her my son was coming and she didnt wanna listen. I told her he would arrive between this week and next. She dismissed me, didnt wanna check me and decided spur of the moment to do my gbs test. She said verbatim, you went 40&1 with your first there is no reason you'll have him earlier than that this time...in my mind Im like 'lady, whet?! Every pregnancy, baby AND labor and delivery are different...' but I let her have her opinions. Bc I know she is gonna feel stupid when she hears I had my son weeks early and was right the whole time. I just hope this wont cause additional health issues...

I was sent home on tylenol 3 and felt horrible on it and contracted through the night and all day. I feel like i need to poop but dont wanna strain to much and break my water. Ill update in a few days.

What are yall thoughts? Anyone experience this?
