pros/cons of non medical early induction??

Question

What are some pros and cons to weigh out for a non medically necessary induction at 39 1/2 weeks? My doctor suggested it and it caught me off guard as I didn't think this was an option.. trying to make an educated decision! Thanks !

Pros-baby will be here with no suspense of when and at 39.5 weeks baby is full term so shud b strong healthy and ready to go!

Cons-evacuating baby before baby is ready can make labor longer and more challenging

Cons-contractions from induction r worse then natural contractions but as a ftm you won't notice this as you have nothing to compare it to.

That's all I got. There's way more if you whereby so far along. I'm a advocate for letting baby come on it's own. But ultimately it's between u and ur dr.
