Just found out through HPTS I am pregnant. What are my next steps?

So I Just found out through about 12 different HPTs that I am indeed pregnant so I went to the CareSpot urgent care for a blood hcg test for confirmation. What are the next steps I need to take. Im lost and no one to talk to about it.

Get yourself on a good prenatal vitamin. Find an obgyn with good reviews. Congrats & best of luck!

If you have insurance double check maternity coverage which usually dr off will check for you but call an obgyn office to set up an appt they will also do a pregnancy urine test just for their records and then ask last menstrual period to determine a due date. If your insurance doesn't cover it apply for medicaid they will pay for everything. Ask the office of they accept it as well. If not you'll have to find someone who will take it.

Choose a Dr. I started by choosing a dr that would deliver at the hospital I wanted. Then looked at reviews and backgrounds. Google can help with that. Set up your first appointment and go from there.

Also drink plenty of water always have either a water bottle or glass or water on hand, and research what foods and meds are okay for you to use till you get a list from the doc. Also unlike what some first time moms think you don't necessarily need to double you caloric intake that much. For now just starting eating better, and maybe increase by 200-300 calories. Also walking for 20-30 a day or 3-4 times a week is also good for you and your baby, but don't really  power walk, don't want to overdo it.

Find yourself a doctor. Most women prefer an ob but a general physician can help as well.  And start taking prenatals.  Try the ones with iron first, but if they upset your stomach ask your doc if it is ok with taking ones without iron.  (The gummies are a lot better then the soft gels in my experience)
