Any advice for pursuing a career in nature photography?

I just finished my freshman year of highschool and realize what my dream job is! I want to be a traveling photographer/journalist. I would love some advice on how I should start taking action to better prepare for my future.

Also start a photography social media account via Facebook,Instagram or whatever. Get your art out there for others to view and critique.

One thing I think would be really beneficial is to get in touch with someone who does that for a living. Reach out through social media or email and find someone who is willing to talk to you,answer your questions and tell you/show you their story of how they started. And if they aren't personally willing to do it,maybe they will know someone who is. Take as many photography courses as you can,study up on photographers and photographs to see what's out there and what people are looking for. And of course start and continue your own portfolio of photographs because people are going to want to see your work. Best of luck✨
