taming thin, curly hair?!

My baby girl has the most beautiful curls! However, they matte within minutes if she rolls or plays..brushing it is a cry fest because it gets so many knots 😩 no matter how hard I try I just cannot tame this beast! It gets so dry and frizzy and poofy and it only looks tame right after a bath! Anything I can do??

It's best to start now so when she gets odler, she'll already know to how properly care for her curls and won't go through the many years most curly girls do, struggling to get those soft beautiful curls we all dream of.

I'll post a sc of the group and my before and after so you can see that it really does work. I use this method both on my 5 year old and my 17month old.

When my sons hair gets matted (which is does daily, especially after sleeping all night) I take a wide tooth comb, run it under warm water and comb his hair all out until it's completely wet. Once It's all wet I add a small pump of Moogoo's Cream Conditioner and work it throughout his hair evenly, lightly pat it dry with a flour sack towel and let it dry. The results are always beautiful springy curls.

My daughter's hair is the same way! A little bit of coconut oil or hair styling product like a curling serum are amazing! They make the curls shine and stay out without being hard and crusty.

Very very small amount of leave in conditioner brushed through. Like biosilk.

My son has curly hair. My 13 week old too but her's is oily. Anyway, what I do with my son is coconut oil every week fora few hours then we wash it. We use a product called curly kids. We use their shampoo and the lotion as his hair is not too thick but they have different types.

Cuuuuute😍😍😍 Have you tried a "Wet" brush? Are you comfortable putting like a tiny bit of curl tamer in her hair? I'm sure they make child-friendly ones!! I never had hair as curly as her, but it's been wavy forever. We even would use a detangling spray and it'd keep mine from matting up!

Coconut oil for sure!!! Use sulphate free shampoo/conditioner - that'll keep her hair from drying out. Also get it regularly trimmed so it doesn't get tangled. Only brush when wet using a wide toothed comb :) lots of really great suggestions on this forum!
