I'm feeling so stress since I found out my baby is having cleft lip and cleft palate 5 weeks ago during detailed scan. My hearts broke every time I go for ultrasound. I'm 27 weeks now. Is there any chance that my baby's lip and palate can continue to form?

I wouldn't feel as though it would be a huge issue. A lot of babies get surgery after they are born to fix it and look very normal! Don't stress Mama, your little one will be just fine. I've got no clue about it healing in the womb but I'm sure it's not impossible!

The surgeries they can perform today are incredible in fixing cleft lip and cleft palate. Yes, it sucks they have to have surgery, but it's not like it's going to affect their quality of life in the long term.

Love my baby, prepare myself, and have surgery done after birth. They have amazing procedures these days for this issue.

I've seen so many before and after pictures that I swear you can't even tell the baby had a cleft lip. This was a concern of mine as well so I looked it up
