How do I get the redness to go away?

So I got my belly button pierced on February and it got infected once but hasn't had trouble since but the redness from the infection never went away. How do I get the red ness to go away??

Try another bar, that ones short. It could be rubbing against the skin. Also, it'll stop being red when it's healed.

by taking out that jewelry and buying something Implant Grade (titanium hopefully), those balls are unsafe plastic so I assume the metal is unsafe as well

It won't. I still have redness from mine.

Yeah I longer bar may be a good solution, I find when I wear a smaller bar (my belly button is not 100% healed) that I get irritation and redness around it. Go to your piercer and ask him about it and see if he can help you with a correct size bar
