After 1 year???

Ok I'm a FTM so this might seem like an obvious question BUT...I really am confused. I plan to nurse my son until he's a year old but after I stop giving him my milk, along with solids, will he drink water??? I formula? Is it the same amount of water that I'd give him as I would if I kept giving him a bottle of breastmilk? Thanks, mommas.

The other thing to remember is that you don't have to completely stop at one year unless you want to--a couple of moms in my breastfeeding group were talking about this issue and that was the big takeaway aside from you can just offer milk (of whatever variety you prefer)

You can offer water or cow's milk, as well as almond or soy milks. For milk, one cup is more than enough. For water they can have up to 1.3 liters.
