I'm 4w3d PP, and I think I have a kidney infection. I've never had one, so I'm not sure. I have some pretty terrible (but not unbearable) mid to lower back pain, on both sides. It's a dull pain when I lay down, but hurts terribly when I try to move, bend over or stand up (like a sharp stabbing pain). I have a frequent urge to pee, but little to nothing comes out and it hurts a little. I also have a mild fever, 99.8. I also have had chills all day, it's 76 inside my house right now and I'm using a blanket because I'm freezing. I also have some cramping in my lower abdomen, almost like period cramps. I have two kids, and I'm by myself. I tried calling my doctor, to see what he says but it's the weekend, and I'm not sure how often they check the nurses line. Is there anything I can do? What can I take for the pain until I hear back from my doctor?
