I chose not to do gel during my pregnancy just to be on the safe side because there isn't enough research on it. Wasn't so bad, now almost 34 weeks...cant wait to do gel again!

It's more of the removal of the gel you should worry about. Your nails are porous and so is the skin around them. When you soak your nails/fingers in acetone your body is absorbing some of the chemicals.
