Wanting to conceive, insulin resistance, new job and nervous about fmla.

Caitlin • I`m a married 30 y/o high school digital integration specialist. My husband and I welcomed our rainbow baby into the world 1/2017 and are excited to prepare to expand our family in the next few months.
Hello all, my husband and I have baby fever. We've been married over a year and we had been previously "trying" as in "if it happens it happens." I didn't want to be anxiously tracking my cycles and things since we had been waiting to see if it happens without planning. I also take metformin for controllable insulin resistance and I know I need to lose some weight before we get pregnant. The outlook we had on trying was all well and good and exciting of course but I start a new job next week. This puts the trying to a screeching halt because I don't want to be 8 months pregnant and knowingly unable to take fmla because i haven't been employed for over a year. At the same time though this could be a blessing in disguise as a chance to gain more progress on the weight loss front. Any advice/suggestions/comments?? Anyone else in a similar situation?
