IPHONE USERS! I need help...

Ok... so I'm so confused. I've always had an iPhone but never worried about iCloud and saving my photos. Now that my duaghter is born I want to save every single picture. I know Apple gives you 5gb of iCloud storage for free so I went ahead and purchased 200gb of storage for iCloud. It says my photos will be automatically uploaded to iCloud. So here's the problem. I attached a photo of what it looks like when I click on 'sharing' my photos aren't automatically uploading and this is ICloud Photo Sharing. Each time time I have to add the picture to This album. But I'm not sure if iCloud photo sharing is the same as just "ICloud" and how can I save my pictures? Where do I go?
