Were you ever told the sex of your baby and it was wrong?

My friend was told she was having a girl and she had a boy.   She had pink everything lol.  We are having our first ultra sound in a few weeks.  We wanted to be surprised but are having a hard time finding unisex anything!  Just wondering how often they get it wrong?

My friend was supposed to be having a boy but at their next appointment they were told girl! It depends when the info is given, my doc told me that anytime before 20 weeks is just a good guess but that the "for sure" answers don't come until around 20 weeks and the second trimester anatomy scan. Even then though if they tell you girl it could still be a boy hiding a surprise for you! When they say boy at that point it's usually pretty set in stone 😊
