Any advice for preparing for 1st IVF?

My husband and I have been trying for 3 years and nothing has worked for us. I have PCOS and anovulatory syndrome. Was told IUI wasn't an option for us so we will be doing ivf in September of this year! Anyone have any advice for calming nerves, boosting egg quality, etc.? We really are desperate for this to work for us as this is our last attempt for our own child! Thanks in advance ladies!

Make sure you know when you have to go in for blood work and ultrasound also when your injection window is. Come hell or high water I always had to be home by 7 which sucked if I wanted to go out on the weekend. Also when you need your medication by because some clinics will not give the exact start date until you physically have your medication. Have fun things planned to keep your mind off things like a great movie at home, game night or go out to dinner after your shot. Practice on a raw chicken breast to see if you can actually give yourself the shots. Someone where easy for me while others triggered my fight or flight response🤣. I hear acupuncture helped many woman during the process as well. Have a comfy pair of pants because towards the end before the trigger shot you might be uncomfortable.

I did three cycles of IVF. The third was successful. Things I did different third time around: I was on strict bestest for 3 days after transfer. Took 600 mg of Q10 for 3 months prior to retrieval. Day of transfer and three days following: made a smoothie that included a piece of red beet. I believe this helped with blood circulation. Best of luck.

We did IVF three years ago: I did acupuncture for about 6 months prior ( when we found out we needed to do ivf) the cycle did result in 8 frozen embryos (and one perfect little boy!) I can't say that acupuncture was the reason we are so successful but at minimum it helped to relax me. A friend also had multiple failed cycles, did acupuncture and finally had a successful cycle. It was expensive but I was willing to do anything to increase our chance: now; I just started injections for my FET in July and I am not doing acupuncture. Mainly because of money and logistics of having a two year old! Good luck! IVF is a wonderful thing!
