41 weeks - Are these contractions?

Question

Ok ladies, help me out... I know people's descriptions of contractions vary greatly. I am having painful stabbing pains that begin deep in the vagina and shoot up (not really back). I keep assuming they're just dialation pains, but might they be contractions? I'm 41 weeks and scheduled for a C Section in about 36 hrs....
I wish something obvious like water breaking would just happen, but my body doesn't seem to be listening to my wishes ...lol

Yep. I was in labor. Off to have a C section now.

Now we've moved to a continuous wave of cramping pain. I'm pretty sure I'm in early labor now. Not sure how far.... I think I'm waiting for a little more progress before I wake the hubby for the hospital.
