when did your baby ?

When did your baby begin sitting up straight without support? My baby is 5 1/2 months (born 3 weeks early ) & she's sitting but tripod style with her hands in front of her and often tips over ...should I be concerned ??

My baby is now 7 months and he doesn't quite do it. He can be balanced with a toy in his hands for about 5-7seconds and then lay hands on the ground  or he might lose balance. The "bad" thing is that he started crawling and he never sits. I sit him down and he can be like that for about 10 secs tops but he would immediately get into crawling position and starts diacovering the most dangerous things ever lol never thought my house would be full of hazardous stuff for babies like, prerty much, everything haha.

My baby is almost 6 months, he still supports himself with his hands in front of him, but his balance is getting better. He can sit in his highchair perfectly on his own. There's not an exact age babies should be doing things. It's usually a pretty broad range. Like 5- 7/8 months maybe? Sounds like your lo is right on track and doing great!

My guy just started sitting a couple days ago and he is 6.5 months. He still will fall over but he sits all the way up instead off tripod.

Every baby is different and progress at their own pace. There are guidelines for when they "should" reach certain milestones, but don't get hung up on them. My son, nearly 7 mo now, started rolling back to front and back around 3/4 months and I expected him to sit up shortly after. I worried he didn't until just after 6 months. But then he went from topple over tripod, to getting seated and staying up all himself. To now full crawl and pulling to stand up. All in less than a month! You're baby is practicing new skills before perfecting each step. Doing exactly what baby is supposed to be doing 😁

All babies are different but the common range is between 4-8 months. No need to be concerned, your babe is doing just fine :)
