Did anyone watch The Leftovers series finale tonight?

Visceral Mercenary • May you find your worth in the waking world.

What did you think about it? Were you satisfied with the way it ended and how they handled The Departure? Were you disappointed that we never found out why The Departure happened? Do you think that Nora was even telling the truth about what happened after we last saw her?

I loved the ending. I thought it was very bittersweet. I was very satisfied with how they handled where the departed went and I'm glad that they never explained why. I used to think I didn't want to know where they went, but I really liked how Nora explained that for the 2%, it was like 98% of people disappeared.

My heart broke for Nora though. The fact that she was so fucked up over what happened to her children, only to find them happy without her and moved on... it was gut wrenching. My heart was in my throat when she was telling the story. I'm not sure if I believe her. I'm want to believe her, but I think there was a lot of symbolism throughout the episode that suggested that she might be lying.

I'm really going to miss this show. It's absolutely my favorite show despite being one of the ones that has been on for the shortest amount of time. The whole cast was amazing. I honestly think that Carrie Coon, Christopher Eccleston, and Justin Theroux may be two of the best actors I've ever seen. They were absolutely astonishing every time they had a big scene. They seriously took my breath away on multiple occassions.

If you watched it and want to talk about it, please comment. I'm dying to discuss it with other people!
