Did you/are you going to sleep train?

Interested to see what you moms say in the poll. Hoping this doesn't turn in to a huge comment war over what is "right" and "wrong"! I'm just honestly curious as to what other moms did.

Sleep train as in encourage routine and independence while still providing security trust and love? Yes. I did with all three of my boys. All 3 sleep alone and independently and well. They are confident kids.

Sleep train as in CIO? Hell to the mother F-ing no. Ive read the neurological research and would never.

Sleep is a milestone that all baby's reach on their own with love and encouragement and routine. All 3 of my kids met this milestone at different times. I also accept that occasionally while baby's growth spurts, mental growth spurts, and changes meant temporary disruptions.

I'm not sure what sleep training is, but since my son was 2 weeks, now 9 weeks, we have had a strict bedtime routine. It has worked very well for us. Last night he only woke once to eat at 2am. He went down at 8pm, woke at 2am, and then again at 6am (after my husband went to work). Then slept again until 8am.

I did w my first baby and it worked really well, was quite easy and he was sleeping 12 hours a night at 5 months old. 2nd baby we have tried a little and she's not having it at all so we gave up and are just going at her pace!

My son knows when he's hungry, tried, not feeling good, so I let him do what he wants. Hes going to be in a schedule the rest of his life. Plus I sleep when I'm tired I eat when i am hungry so I'm just letting him do the same. It's worked just fine for us, I know there are many babies that need a routine though otherwise the poor mommas don't get any rest. So it's just for some people and not for others.

Both my boys sleep all night up to 12 hrs... couldnt be happier 😀🙌🏻 traind them at 2 months my first born is going to be 2years old next month and my little one is 4 months old
