dr visit or normal?

My week old  ons left eye gets a little bit of drainage (I guess that's what I call it) and I'm wondering if I should call his dr in the morning. Mainly only see it when he wakes up after a long nap. & it's only the one eye which is why it caught my attention. I keep it wiped with one of his wash cloths.

In had the same thing happen to my son around the same time as yours, I call his doctor and went, she said it's just a minor infection but if left untreated it can get worst just like any other infection. She prescribed him eye drops and his eye was back to normal within a week, so YES go and have his eye checked out you can't never be too careful

I think it's normal. Especially if there's no irritation. If you are breastfeeding you can put a little drop of breastmilk on it just in case. It sounds normal though
