Just wondering if it's okay to start drinking ensure 
Does anyone else drink these daily

I drink ensure a few times a week. I use it as a supplement to my meals. I've only gained 3lbs & I'm 30wks so I need the extra calories. Trying to put on weight for myself & baby.

My DOC tells me to avoid anything unnatural, even things like whey protein or fish oil capsules. They say to just eat whole real foods. I do get green shakes to supplement my greens intake though (I had really amazing vitamin and iron levels in my first twin pregnancy just by eating like that.)

I make my own protein smoothies with Bob's red mill protein powder, frozen fruit and veggies and lactaid....it's healthier if you have the option.
Why do you feel you need the ensure? Are you low on protein? Having trouble eating? Did you talk to your ob about this?
While they aren't terrible they aren't the first choice for nutrition.

You could try prenatal gummies.
Or maybe stick some of your vitamins in your car/purse. They aren't really time sensitive so when you remember to take them, take them. Set an alarm on your phone for a time before you leave for work.

For breakfast they make a mix that's nutritious and it comes in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. You mix it into milk. It isn't as heavy as ensure. Ensure might be too heavy and it will get expensive. It's usually for the very sick or elderly.

You could also try bananas, pre-cut fruit kept in the fridge, cereal... Even something naughty like Nutella toast. Just get food in your tum.
