Cysts from clomid, do they go away on their own?

Question

They did my baseline scan May 12 (cycle day 4). Saw a cyst on each ovary from the clomid (from the cycle before). They also saw what they thought was a polyp but after the surgery they realized it was extra tissue. I see my doctor on Thursday for a post op/next step consult. I'm hoping the cysts are gone by now. I have never ever had a cyst before. They had me ok birth control but I had to stop it because it was making me crazy!

Unless a cyst is abnormally large they are pretty normal. Every month when a women has her cycle a small cyst or follicle develops and when you ovulate that cyst is suppose to pop and release the follicle and send your egg to meet the swimmers lol. But what happens when someone is struggling with infertility and ovulation is the egg doesn't get released like it should whether it's blocked or something and so then the cyst continues to grow until it gets bigger and hopefully pops without surgery. That's why women with PCOS have so many issues with cysts.
