When do they hurt?

Question

I heard that if you don't pump or breastfeed that your breasts start to hurt. I'm trying to dry up and they don't hurt yet. I haven't pumped or anything since the 4th.

How long does it take to dry up? Are my breasts supposed to hurt? I'm sorry if those are dumb questions. I'm a first time mom so I've  never been through this.

Idk how long it takes to dry up but you can put cabbage leafs

My daughter self weaned at 13 months. The first two weeks I felt full, leaked a little, but it didn't hurt. Then week 3 happened and they felt like rocks with numerous clogged ducts. I refer to that as their last attempt lol by week 4 I finally dried up, and they super shrunk! I was surprised how mostly painless it was considering if you skip a feeding you felt like you were going to die!
