washing diapers

Alex
Ive noticed a crap ton of bad advice with washing diapers ! I highly suggest the website fluffloveuniversity and their facebook page fluff love &CD science .
Do not use a wet pail for your diapers. It is a breeding ground for bacteria . It is dangerous for kids to get into.
Do not soak or double triple whatever rinse your diapers before / after washing. You are putting Extra minerals into the absorbent material that is unnecessary.
You do not need to strip, deep clean or bleach on any regular basis.
True stripping is only to remove minerals from hard water build up. Bleaching is to disinfect used diapers. Deep cleaning will help get rid of stains.
Wash your diapers on a short cycle with a little bit of detergent to get any left over poo and excess pee spun out .
Pull your diapers off the side of the machine and add the full amount of detergent (what the brand recommends for a large heavily soiled load). And a water softener like borax or calgon if you have hard water. Run them on a long heavy cycle with no extra rinse .
Dry on medium or hang dry.
Natural detergent are really not your best bet (use the flufflove index and see which detergent are not recommended )
We make it so hard! And it's not !!
