Size 5 diapers.. ALMOST 6?!?!

My son is 8 months old. He'll be 9 months on the 18th. Right now he is 21 pounds and he is in size 5 diapers!!! I've tried different brands and he wears the same size in all of them. He has chubby legs and his stomach isn't all that chunky. Is there a different brand I don't know about that will fit him and his legs? I'd hate to go to size 6 because they don't have much in a box or a pack. I've tried the pull up diapers and he just looks like a "stripper" with half of his butt crack hanging out but they are MUCH more loose on his legs. Any suggestions?

My oldest was very large for his age. He's in the 98th percentile for height and only the 30th for weight now and he's 5.5 years old. He's just always been super tall and lean.

We used cloth diapers which worked well for him, very well actually. When we did use disposables, we used mostly huggies. I used their overnight diapers mostly because he was a pee machine, but occasionally a daytime huggies disposable if we weren't in a position to use cloth. I always hated pampers and Luvs for him because they leaked, especially out his legs. I can't stand Honest Company, they are expensive and leak and not as natural as they claim to be. Earths Best worked when he was a baby, but not as he grew. I have 3 boys. Huggies always worked well for us.
