Devastated
So... we called to schedule the first "exchange" with our known donor (my brother-in-law) for April 20th.
As my husband started going over the dates with him, his brother interrupted with some bad news: Between January 3rd (when we asked him) and this past Friday, he and his girlfriend decided they weren't comfortable with it.
He never called us to tell us that his resounding, unhesitating "yes" had changed. He was still hoping she'd come around. He even said that if they ever break up he'll help in a second, which makes me wonder if ANY of this decision was his. But whoever made the choice, the choice was made.
I've spent the last three days sobbing...
We had everything ready to go. I've been charting and temping and testing and taking my prenatals. And I have my preconception appointment this Tuesday...
Back to square one.
