8 months + tantrums

My lo has been getting upset if we don't let her play with a certain thing or if she doesn't want to go to someone and she'll throw herself back and cry. Just now she did it and hit her head in the process of throwing herself on the floor. I'm scared she's going to hurt herself from doing this. Anyone lo doing this?
