worried about ultrasound

All the ultrasound photos I see baby is in a nice circular or oval space. My husband was the first to mention that my uterus looked boomerang shaped. I can't tell if it is or if it's the angle of the probe. I had a vaginal ultrasound and here is baby at 8w2d. Does it look normal? Why the U shape? Doctor and tech didn't mention anything but when I google I see all kinds of crazy things!
