Considering Getting IUD

I'm really thinking about getting the 5 year IUD after this baby is born. I'm just really scared. I've always used the patches but I want something long lasting I don't have to remember. I have one friend who loves her IUD and another who couldn't stop bleeding and had to get it out.

I think I'm most scared of getting it out in. My friend said it was like a pinch and she was completely fine right after.

I know it may take a few months for your body to get used to the stranger inside so I'm not worried about the bleeding unless it's for more than 3 months. I know it can happen up to 6 months and still be normal but I'd rather not have that..

Did anyone have to get it surgically removed or have pains while it was inside?how was insertion?
