Hopefully your story has a happier ending, but I'm on a mission to make sure women on this forum stop using the target brand tests. I got literally 3 false positives from these things on days 32-36 of my cycle. Then a negative with First Response on day 37. Day 42 blood test confirmed a negative. My period was just late. No, it wasn't a chemical. Just faulty tests. Definitely get another brand and retest. Here is what mine looked like.

I had two vfl on both these test from target brand and they were false positives! I don't rely on these test at all! But another brand and retest!

It's possible this is an evap which is why you're only supposed to look during the time frame. Retest and good luck!
