I'm going to the doctor this week to check my thyroid. I've been having some problems for a while that won't seem to go away and if anything get worse. A few days ago I came across something about thyriod issues and I seem pretty much match hypothyroidism (the one thadoesnt produce enough of the thyriod hormone). I've never had it checked before. I'm almost 22 and I thought it mostly happens to older women. I'm not diagnosing myself from what I've read about it, like symptoms, but I'm wondering is anyone else has thyriod problems of any type and what to expect. I know if there is anything wrong I'll have to take medication for it. Basically I'm just wondering how you found out, and what happened after seeing the doctor and what all it exactly does.
