So I need some advice. We live next door to my in laws. My FIL is horrible and I never see him without another family member (husband or SIL or something) present. My MIL isn't horrible but she is a bit sensitive. She lives 50/50 here and over seas. The last time I saw her she screamed at my husband and I for not allowing her to give our three year old a baby bottle of milk (we've had a hard time convincing him to eat proper food and until a couple of weeks ago he would just not eat if he thought that he could have milk. She always does this when she disagrees with our parenting choices m, she starts screaming and calling us evil and refusing to see us etc. All in front of my boys (which is the part that really pisses me off). Since this episode she has been overseas and is coming back next week. But I don't know whether she is talking to me/wants to see me. I have zero desire to see her, I'm not very accepting of this kind of behaviour. I also just don't really have the patience to not throw her epic parenting failures right back in her face ( I would never do that but dear god it is echaisting keeping my mouth shut). But I want to keep her happy to prevent her abusing my husband and his siblings-what do I do? Should I Hoover there with the boys like nothing ever happened or should I wait to see what she does?
