Has Anyone TTC while in grad school, how did it go? I'm 25 and bf wants more kids, he has two. He does not have any degree, but I'm working on mine. We live with my mother in a 4 bedroom house. Just want to start before I get too old and in a career.

I had a baby while in vet school, we were married and living on our own, but I knew I would be 32 when I graduated and I didn't want to wait hat long in case I had problems (good thing bc then tried for #2 for 3 years and then only got pregnant by seeing an RE). It was definitely hard, and not a very good way to make friends with your new classmates. I had a lot of premature  judgements passed on me, people would assume it was an accident, or I wasn't dedicated, etc. I even had rude comments from staff and administrators (one even called me a "silly girl") and they tried to pressure me hard to take time off while pregnant. I was furious, I felt very ostracized and discriminated against in general. Besides all of that, it was hard to be pregnant and taking rigorous classes and then having an infant, very demanding and stressful, but hey, I made it. You will definitely need a lot of support from your family and SO if you do it. So....it's your call, but I would probably tell you that since you are young, to wait, at least until you are near the end. Good luck!!

I had a baby in grad school after my third year of 5. I took a year off to have him. I went back to school and finished my degree. But now I have been working for about 6 months, am pregnant again, have a ton of student debt and just want to be home with my babies. I would say honestly a baby in grad school was very difficult, especially because my son had special needs that we had no way of predicting. If your priority is really to have a baby then maybe rethink the gra school thing or wait until you're done with it. Honestly, I feel like I spent a lot of time, energy, money and being away from my son for a degree when family is more important to me than working.
