Polycystic ovaries?

Hello ladies! I am just a blood test away from being diagnosed with polycystic ovaries. I am not only terrified of needles (ive only had one blood test and it went horribly wrong and i had to be restrained) but i also dont know what this disorder is. It was loosely explained to me but i would like to find out more. Any of you ladies have this or any advice?
