Do you think its wrong to discuss your sex life with your parents/guardian/etc

I was reading the comments on this post on Facebook and a woman (let's call her Lady 1) shared how she has an open, honest relationship with her two adult children. She shared how she recommends sex toys to her daughter and how her son discusses his sex life with her. Another woman (Lady 2) came on her comment and said it was gross, perverted, and disrespectful. My grandma and I have always had an open relationship and I could talk to her about anything so I didn't really find Lady 1's situation abnormal or perverted in any way so it made me wonder how many people had Lady 2's mentalitity

I don't think it's wrong as parents/guardians can educate their kids on sex and stuff. Personally I don't talk about it with my parents as they're strict about sex but I'll deffo talk about it with my children and give advice, once they're legal ofc. I don't think it's any of that lady's business to tell her what to do.

My mum and I don't talk about our sex lives (my mum doesn't even know I've had sex and I've got no intention of ever telling her). She did tell myself and my siblings about safe sex, etc. But we don't discuss sex toys, masturbation/sex tips, etc. I wouldn't say it's wrong to do that- but personally I'd find it weird. My mum isn't one of my friends (we have a great relationship and are very close but she's my mum not my friend that I tell all my dirty secrets too) so I would say it'd be a bit disrespectful to talk to her about that. But that's our relationship. If someone else has a different kind of relationship with their mum than whatever- it doesnt bother me at all

I also talk with my mom about everything ! And she's given me plenty of great advice ! She's my mom for God's sake, it's not like I view her sexually, why shouldn't her and I be open with each other about what's important to us especially if we need advice or have concerns ?

Me and my mom talk about sex. It's not weird, gross or perverted. My MIL and I talk about sex too 🤷🏻‍♀️ but she's been my mom's best friend for 30 years so I was talking to her about sex long before her son became my husband. I don't think it's weird at all. My husband and I both have very open and honest families and there's a lot of trust and comfort because of it.

I really hope I have that relationship with my boys honestly. I don't find it a bit wrong. Her children will have safe fulfilling sex lives and they have their mother to thank for that. What good does it do to pretend it doesn't happen? It does. It would be healthier to talk about it

Oh god I do not want to hear about my parents' sex lives 😷😷😷 and definitely don't want them to know about ours. I was joking about "living in sin" w my younger sister (age 28) who just got engaged and was like, should I wear a white dress?? and my dad was like nooooo please stop!! 😂😂😂😂

I think it's very important for parents to discuss sex, sexuality and safe sex with their minor children. I think it's wildly inappropriate for parents to discuss their own sex life or sex in general with their children whether they're minors or adults. That's what you have friends for.
