Pumping ?

I think I'm starting to just get my milk supply and my boobs hurt so bad I'm a ftm so I was wondering can I use my breast pump ? Or do I have to be leaking in order to pump ? My breast hurt and feels so heavy . And I'm trying to breastfeed my daughter but she won't latch whatsoever it's so difficult 😪😭

So my question is , is it okay for me to use my breast pump or do I have to be leaking in order for it to work ?

I started pumping right away. You definitely don't have to wait until you're leaking!! I pump even why I don't think there's a lot of milk there.

Ice packs don't stay cold for that long of a period. I would keep adding ice, when you stop to eat or get gas.

Pumping will remove milk whether you're leaking or not. If you're uncomfortable you're engorged. Babies have a difficult time latching onto hard breasts. Pump or hand express until they're softer and then latch the baby. You can pump whenever you want to. The earlier and more often you pump the more you risk over supply, which isn't always the blessing it sounds like it is. You can pump or hand express until you're comfortable or until empty. If you do it until empty you're telling your body you need to make that much milk.

U can use a hot face cloth before u feed to relax them and express them so baby can latch easier
