Do you put cottage cheese or ricotta cheese in your lasagna?

I always use ricotta. I don't understand why people ruin a good lasagna with that tasteless cottage cheese 😂 I have tons of family that make it that way because "it has less fat" but that's not a good enough reason for me lol

My mom uses cottage cheese in hers, and I've always HATED lasagna. Then when I was dating my now husband, I ate some of his mom's trying not to be rude, and absolutely loved it! Now I realize it's not lasagna I hate, it's the cottage cheese in it. It's curdy, doesn't melt, and is seriously nasty...
