So today is the first time in about a month that I dropped my son off at his normal sitter so I could go to the gym. (We've been on vacation and recently got back- while we were on vacay he has been walking and running much more so than before. He also figured out how to open certain door handles.... ) I dropped him off at the sitter (she's fantastic btw- so I'm not upset with her) and when I got back to pick him up she told me he figured out how to open her front door and her neighbor found him in their yard. She didn't realize he was gone until the neighbor brought him back. (She was making lunch for the kids and said she heard him and the other toddler playing with the door but didn't think anything of it). I'm just thinking to myself- holy shit! So much could have happened in an instant. He could've gotten hit by a car or kidnapped! 😭😭😭Ughhhh! Time to deadbolt all the doors.
