I have wanted nothing more than a water birth since before getting pregnant. I switched to a midwife today because I was told that it would be an option. It is not. I was told today that no insurances cover a water birth because the only place you can have them is a birthing center and insurance doesn't cover birthing centers. We can't afford the $2000 deductible that my insurance wants so paying for a birthing center out of pocket on top of that is out of the question. Sure would be nice if teachers had better benefits and pay. Why is this so difficult. I feel like I have no say in what happens and it is a horrible feeling.
