My boyfriend & I have been dating for almost 2 years next month. We've decided to take it to another level & im gonna relocate from California next spring break to Oregon to be with him. Here's the big issue, we are a biracial couple & he confessed to me that his mom told him years ago, don't bring home no white woman or black woman. His mother is old school Mexican & wants just that in the family. My boyfriend has his own home & he told me that he loves me for me, but every time I think of meeting his family, I get anxiety. I went through this racial crap with my ex husband with his Mexican mother & it left me broken for years & I just recovered from that. My boyfriend supports me a lot & we are close, but I feel bad for not telling him that I'm afraid to meet his mother & feel anxiety even thinking about it.
