keto diet while breast feeding?

I'm exclusively breastfeeding/pumping for my 2 month old is going on the keto diet okay??

Any experience with weight loss?

I eat more bread and pasta than I should I rarely eat a lot of protein 😞so I'm hoping this will help me lose some weight!

Keto diet is fantastic! You get all the nutrients you and baby need and you'll feel great and have more energy! I was on keto while pregnant to keep off the excess weight that wasn't baby related and to keep a good mood. I'm gluten intolerant, so it was a little more of what I was used to anyway. I am having more sugar and not watching the carbs post partum, since I had a heamorrhage and had to have a transfusion from a 3rd degree tear. But now I'm getting those sugars naturally through fruit. It's not true that you need grains! And neither does your baby! Check out the ingredients in that rice cereal that is given to babes: it's a bunch a GM crap that our bodies don't need! If you stick to the diet, you WILL see results! Not just physically, but mentally as well. I've done lots of research on it! It makes sense! It may take a week or two for the cravings to subside, but you can get through it! And it's so good for baby! Use that as motivation! Here is my little champ, almost 2 months and GF-breast milk exclusive! 😙😆

Oh, and as with any diet, make sure you are drinking enough water! And with breastfeeding, make sure you don't hold back on healthy, high (good) fat and protein snacks!
